The RVP Plans below are separated to suit your individual needs. You can select more than one as the types of property you want protected may fall into different categories.
Each RVP Registration requires:
Ownership of subject property by applicant.
Date range property will be vacant.
Completing the Registered Vacant Application.
Payment of fees.
Independent verification of vacant status.
Adherence to the behavior actions to avoid in order to maintain vacant status during the designated vacancy dates.
Proof of ownership requires review of the following documents: Current Deed, Title Report, Trust (if property is held in trust), Current property Tax Record and ID of the owner matching property proof documents. RVP to independently verify ownership.
The Vacancy start and end dates represent the vacancy period. When selecting the vacancy period set a date range that covers the entire expected duration of the vacancy period. The vacancy can be cancelled at any time regardless of initial vacancy set up time.
Each registration will require a completion of the Vacancy Registration Application Agreement. The application will consist of all information required to set up your vacancy registration. Once submitted, the start date will be established.
All RVP plans require payment upon submission of Vacancy Registration Application. The selected plan requires payment of base fee only at time of submission of application. Additional time will be billed as used. There is no refund of base fee once vacancy period begins. In the event of early cancellation of vacancy registration, the initial fee will not be prorated.
Your registration is subject to validation of vacancy by a Representative of Registered Vacant Property LLC. In the event the property is determined not to be vacant at or during the vacant date range period the vacancy registration can or will be cancelled at the sole discretion of Registered Vacant Property.
As the owner it is your responsibility to adhere to the Occupancy Behavior Standards as outlined in the owner responsibilities instructions. This also applies to family, friends, or workers that may be permitted to enter the property. Occupancy Behaviors are designed to allow RVP to clearly enforce the vacancy status of the property.
Basic Vacant Registration
The Basic Vacant Registration is designed to fit most registration needs. Select the time period that works best for you. Plans can be combined as needed to cover the total amount of time you need your property to covered.
Vacation Home Registration
The Vacation Home Registration plan differs from the basic home plan in significant ways. First vacation home registrations have a base time of three months. There are options that allow for more or less than the base time and plans can be added in any combination to arrive at total time which works best for you. Vacation Homes require the property is actually a vacation and as such can’t be a primary residence. Also vacation homes require less RVP posted signage but are checked on more often as a regular part of the plan.
For Sale Registration
Typically, a property currently on the market, or which will soon be offered for sale, will need the assistance of a real estate agent. RVP Certifies Agents to professionally register your property. There are also specific guidelines for real estate professionals to ensure the RVP registration coincides with the timing of the real estate transaction.
